  15.         Reality Software is a small company whose husband and 
  16. wife team is devoted to the publication of two product lines.

  18.        We publish quality E-Books for DOS and Windows in 
  19. ancient/medieval history and the history of religion. These 
  20. books represent original, scholarly research and are designed 
  21. for thinking adults. They are an attempt at original synthesis 
  22. from the literature and some of the writing is at journal level. 
  23. They are definitely not school-oriented software nor New Age fluff.

  25.       Reality Software also publishes a large series of Windows 
  26. image collections/media albums and screen savers that feature a) 
  27. historical transportation photography and b) original 
  28. computer art whose themes are mythic and visionary. 
  29. Each image is royalty free in the registered versions of 
  30. this software.

  32.        All Windows E-Books come with Replica, an application 
  33. independent viewing system that bypasses the need for a word 
  34. processor. Full instructions are included and the software is

  46.         Ten publications in our series of Windows media
  47. albums and screen savers featuring archival transportation 
  48. photography have been released. Three volumes feature images 
  49. scanned from our private collection of 19th century steam 
  50. locomotives. The other publications feature images of electric 
  51. locomotives, tall ships, classic sail boats, classic battleships, 
  52. early bicycles and early trolleys. All images are scanned from our 
  53. personal collection of rare photographs. The photos are quite rare 
  54. and in many cases are single prints made by early photographers 
  55. and collectors. With a handful of exceptions, none have ever been 
  56. published before in any medium and then only many decades ago 
  57. at very low resolution. Each photo has been meticulously restored 
  58. to repair negative and print damages while maintaining the historical 
  59. integrity of the image. Each graphic image in these publications is 
  60. 24 bit and royalty free to registered users. Whatever historical 
  61. data we can reliably ascertain about each photo is included as a 
  62. text file.

  64.         Four volumes in our Windows screen saver series of original 
  65. visionary art have been released. 1) Fifteen original computer 
  66. paintings explore the theme of Mythic Bears. 2) Fifteen original 
  67. computer paintings explore the Epiphanies of the Neolithic 
  68. Goddess.  3) Fifteen original computer paintings developed with 
  69. fractals express images of Cosmic Creation. 4) Fifteen original 
  70. computer paintings explore relationships with Sacred Animals.       
  71. The shareware versions of each screen saver contain three
  72. images, the registered versions fifteen. There is no duplication 
  73. among the collections. Each graphics file in v1.2 of these 
  74. publications is 24 bit, 16 million color, and royalty free to 
  75. registered users. At a cost of $1 or less per image, such a license 
  76. is a bargain. Stock photography agencies typically charge $100 or 
  77. more per image for commercial licenses.

  79.          Of immediate concern to the graphics design and multimedia 
  80. industries, is a major expansion of Now Corbis which is owned by 
  81. Microsoft. Now Corbis holds an enormous library of stock photos with 
  82. plans to triple its inventory in the near future. Corbis intends to 
  83. sell one time licenses for each image and employs five intellectual
  84. property lawyers to write contracts with clients. I quote Mark Daniel, 
  85. manager of sales. "We have not been selling an image for less than 
  86. $100, and we also have sold an image up to $5,000. Normally, they 
  87. [one-time reproduction licenses] are $200 to $400 an image." In October 
  88. 1995, Now Corbis purchased the Bettman Archive, a well known library
  89. of more than 16 million digitized images in the Fine Arts. Other 
  90. agreements have since followed including license to reproduce in 
  91. digital media the photographs of Ansel Adams.

  93.        Realize, that if you are a graphics designer or multimedia 
  94. developer, this is the playing field now and for the foreseeable 
  95. future. While Reality Software can only develop image collections 
  96. built around specialized themes, if you can use our products, we 
  97. offer the most inexpensive license in the industry: $1 per image for 
  98. a lifetime royalty free license. And you will not have to talk to a 
  99. lawyer. We wish to share our knowledge and creativity with you at 
  100. the lowest cost possible.

  104. often produce a nearly invisible repair of the problems caused by 
  105. such damages as water or ink stains, and rips or tears in prints or 
  106. negatives. We can also restore an appropriate contrast level and 
  107. resolution to seriously faded images. If the image does not exist 
  108. as computer media, we will scan it for you before beginning

  114. and photographers and offer two templates. You can evaluate either
